This was a submission by Squalljade for the poster drawing competition at Halls of Residence in Clayton. Those of you from Monash Uni would know.
The slogan provided was, "Drink NOT Drunk".
With regards to this topic i dare not speak much lest my alcohol-infused peers flame me on all possible communication channels.
However, it is a general fact that drinking does not have to mean getting drunk.
Beer will not make you healthy. Wine does...but in measured quantity.
Happiness induced by alcohol is never genuine. In other words, it is a fake happiness.
We are 'happy' because we THINK we have to be...
As humans, we are born with emotions.
We laugh....we cry...we shout...
All these happen to us naturally from the heart.
We laugh when we're happy...what made us happy?
The celebration? or the booze?
Even without being drunk, we can readily display the happiness we feel.
The question is, if your friends are happy...MUST you be?
If you can laugh, joke and smile with them WITHOUT the booze,
Then my friend...you are truly happy.
And it shows...from clear bright eyes.
Who are our friends to decide whether we should be happy or sad?
Who are they to prescribe the 'cure to our sorrows'?
The sickness will not go away just because you became a liquor barrel for a day.
Something you will realize, the very next day.
When you are drunk you have more courage.
...To tell the girl/guy you like to go out with you?
Right...but you forgot the time and place where you said you would meet her since you said it in a state of ...absentmindedness.
It shows the sincerity guys...it really does. *roll eyes*
We don't harm anyone, we're just having fun. Besides, I have high tolerance level.
Tell that to the parents of kids who's face have been smashed beyond recognition by drunk drivers. Or the passer-by who got beaten up just because he was...passing by.
Senseless...senseless killing of innocent lives.
When you drink to cheer, it is happiness. When you drink to get drunk, it is homicide.
And best of all...
