Across the waters, across the deep blue ocean...

Hey distant lover,

It's been so long since I last saw you...
Are you doing okay?

It's been awhile since I last held you...
Are you still the same?

Hey distant lover,

Are you looking at the sky right now?
I can see it too...the same blue sky above me and you.

Its getting dark soon where you are,
It'll get dark where I am too...

But even if a star passes by again tonight,
It won't be the same without you...

Hey distant lover,

We'll be meeting soon,
Perhaps somewhere under the moon.

Will you smile when you see me?
Will you laugh and start to tease me?

A promise was made not long ago,

With memories worth more than gold,

And a dream became true,

For the girl who fell in love with you.

Hey distant lover,

My distant lover...
I'll be waiting here for you.

Song Collection 13: 男人女人(Nan ren Nu ren) - Valen Hsu

Catchy and sweet...though somewhat repetitive.

===================================
Lyrics
===================================

爱爱爱爱了几回
Ai ai ai ai le ji hui
Love, love, love, having loved a few times,

也明白其中滋味
Ye ming bai qi zhong zi wei
I've understood its inherent taste.

付出的从来不会等于收回
Fu chu de chong lai bu hui deng yu shou hui
What you've given out will never be equal to what you receive.

我却还在等待着谁能出现
Wo que hai zai deng dai zhe shei neng chu xian
I'm still waiting for whomever it is to appear.

伤伤伤伤了几回
Shang shang shang shang le ji hui
Hurt, hurt, hurt, being hurt for a few rounds,

也曾经为爱憔悴
Ye ceng jing wei ai qiao cui
I too have become wan and pallid because of love.

爱情里好人总比坏人狼狈
Ai qing li hao ren zong bi huai ren lang bei
In love, the good guy is always more discomfited than the bad guys.

我却还是学不会狠心对谁
Wo que hai shi xue bu hui hen xin dui shei
But I still can't get the hang of being cruel towards anyone.

男人男人多希望你是好人
Nan ren nan ren duo xi wang ni shi hao ren
Man, man, how I hope that you are a good man.

多希望用你的真让我不必再心疼
Duo xi wang yong ni de zhen rang wo bu bi zai xin teng
How I wish that you'd use your sincerity to wipe away the pain in my heart.

女人女人我答应做个好人
Nu ren nu ren wo da ying zuo ge hao ren
Woman, woman, I promise to be a good man.

我答应用我一生来换你的快乐一生
Wo da ying yong wo yi sheng lai huan ni de kuai le yi sheng
I promise to use my whole life, to exchange for your life-long happiness.

*repeat all

不会再让我(你)心疼一等再等
Bu hui zai rang wo (ni) xing teng yi deng zai deng
To refrain from letting me (you) being hurt, and waiting again and again.

你就是我等的那个人
Ni jiu shi wo deng de na ge ren
You are the one that I was waiting for.

男人男人
Nan ren nan ren
Man, man

女人女人
Nu ren nu ren
Woman, woman

多么希望你是对的人
Duo me xi wang ni shi dui de ren
How I yearn that you are the correct partner.

Just for fun: Nicholas Tze_part 2

Stumbled onto this while browsing youtube.
Does anybody knows where to find the full version?

I guess growing up in Canada does make a difference. And I am easily captivated by asians who can speak english with a NATURAL aussie/american accent. I think most of you would know why i emphasized on the word NATURAL.

Knowing Japanese as well is a plus point...(OHMAIGAWD he knows how to speak jap!)

I believe my brother once had his hair to Nic's length(almost) in this clip...but had to crop if off when he got back from Aust. =D

Just for fun: Nicholas Tze

This is from Astro's AEC channel...

It's an episode from about a year back but i stumbled upon it again in youtube.
And since I have no idea why i can't leech off youtube using ripvideo anymore, i'll just paste it here.
(if anyone knows how to leech off youtube using other means plz update me)

I think people tend to misunderstand this 'canto pop bad boy'. Aside from the hk gossips and countless car crashes, he's actually really nice and down to earth in interviews.
And i like his smile. And if there's a live action movie on FFVIII, he fits just nicely as either Laguna or Squall. And no, I DON'T LIKE Cecilia. She can be Edea.
Someone else has to be Rinoa and I'd prefer a japanese actress.

Right here, right now...

"Life is about trusting your feelings and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories, learning from the past, and realizing people change..."

Memories live only in the single moment from which they are born.
We cannot relive the moments in a memory.
We can only remember we once had them.

Which is why I am afraid...

I am afraid of receiving good things because someday i will lose them.
I am afraid of living good times because i will thereafter miss them.
I am afraid of happy moments because sad ones last longer.

Perhaps someday, a dream will come true
And prayers will be answered,
With all our wishes granted,
And someday, one day,
Good things will stay,

With me, with you.

~PL

You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see,
But you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel.

I won't let it leave me...

I love you in a place where there's no space or time...
I don't want to forget how it feels...

Thank you for changing me...
Thank you for the new life you showed me...

It's so cold and empty right now...
But I'm holding on...

With the memories...
and the hope of meeting you
...someday

I'll be...running towards you in the distant-near future.

Embrace you and never let you go.

Anime Recommendation: Howl's Moving Castle

A must watch...
...for fans of Studio Ghibli creations.

Trailer

Howl's Moving Castle (ハウルの動く城, Hauru no Ugoku Shiro) is a 2004 Japanese animated steampunk fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli and based on Diana Wynne Jones' novel of the same name.

The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 5, 2004 and was released in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2004. It went on to gross $231,710,455 worldwide,making it one of the most financially successful Japanese films in history. The film was subsequently dubbed into English by Pixar's Peter Docter and distributed in North America by Walt Disney Pictures. It received a limited release in the United States and Canada beginning June 10, 2005 and was released nationwide in Australia on September 22 and in the UK the following September.

Interesting Fact:

Howl is voiced by Takuya Kimura (Japanese) and Christian Bale (English)

Disney's Official website: Howl's Moving Castle

Type:
Romance, Fantasy
Plot:
The film begins by introducing Sophie, a timid and unconfident 18-year-old girl who works in her late father's hat shop. She has a chance encounter with the mysterious wizard Howl, who rescues her from some menacing soldiers. By doing so, Howl brings Sophie to the attention of the Witch of the Waste (Arechi no majo), who visits Sophie and curses her by transforming her into a 90-year-old woman. Unable to tell anyone of the curse, Sophie sets off on self-imposed exile into the Wastes. Along the way she meets a magically animated scarecrow, whom she names Turnip Head. Together they find Howl's moving castle. What unfolds next is a series of surprises, twists and turns and the unraveling of curses.

Author's note:
I watched the Japanese version and personally rate this better than Spirited Away due to it's unique yet acceptable storyline. It might confuse those who aren't willing to let their imagination loose though.

(But, suckers like those who complain and debate after movies should NEVER watch fantasy to begin with...
Heck, they should just stay home and read the newspapers...there's your logical, factual, real-life stories, losers!!!) t(*_*t)

A Very Confused Audience: "........???" (-__-)

And people wonder why i have so few female friends....

Random Curiosity

After so many misses, I finally got myself a Ramune...

Ra-mu-ne (ラムネ, Ramune) is a carbonated soft drink sold in Japan which was introduced at Kobe by Alexander Cameron Sim.

=================
Bottle design
=================

Ramune is widely known for the distinctive design of its bottle, often called Codd-neck bottles after the inventor, Hiram Codd. They are made of glass and sealed with a marble; the marble is held in place by the pressure of the carbon dioxide in the drink. To open the bottle, a device to push the marble inward is provided with the bottle. The marble is pushed inside the neck of the bottle where it rattles around while drinking. Two little glass nodes inside the bottle allow the drinker to hook the marble in place while drinking.
People trying Ramune for the first time sometimes find it difficult to drink, as it takes practice to learn to stop the marble from blocking the flow. In the new version of the bottle (2006), little slots were added to the cap where the marble was originally held. This allowed the flow to not be obstructed if the marble falls back into the cap.

Ramune is also available in plastic PET bottles as well as cans.

Ramune is one of the modern symbols of summer in Japan and is widely consumed during warm festival days and nights. Empty bottles are usually collected for recycling at stalls where it is sold.
===============
Flavors
===============
Despite the unique design of the bottle, the Ramune flavor is quite conventional, similar to many other carbonated lemon-lime soft drinks. The word 'ramune' is derived phonetically from the English 'lemonade'. Both fizzy lemonade and the unique bottles were imported from the United Kingdom at the same time, becoming associated with each other. In America, Ramune is often sold at conventions, certain Suncoast outlets and Asian speciality stores.

There are other flavors of the drink: pineapple, kiwifruit, melon, strawberry, orange, lychee, Blue Hawaii, peach, wasabi (available at Tokyu Hands), bubble gum and curry.

Bento Art - Motherly Love in a Box

I remember when i was young, my mom will wake up early every morning to make breakfast and pack lunches for me, my brother and my dad. Most of the time it'll be sandwiches or fried rice...and on certain occasions, noodles (with little treats like jelly or honeystars ^_^).

There were times when she had other priorities and couldn't get the packed lunches done in time for me to bring it to school. I recall vividly one of those occasions when i was in primary school.

Did she leave me to the mercy of the loud cafeteria ladies? ...Nope.

Mom actually went all the way to McDonalds (quite a distance away) to get chicken nuggets and brought it to me during my lunch break at school. I recall it happened about say 2 or more times during life in primary. And i must say, I'm really really proud of my mom and love it whenever she comes to visit me or pick me up at school.

Why? Because ever since I was small, I had always thought she was the most beautiful lady i've ever seen in my life. (No kidding, some ppl think she's japanese...and we all know how graceful japanese ladies are =D)
Anyways, this is not a post on my mom but about lunch boxes...with love. Yes, LUNCH BOXES with MUCH LOVE. =D

In Japan, it is common for japanese mothers to wake up in the wee hours of morning to make and pack lunch boxes for their family every day. In recent years, the modern mums have found a way to encourage their children (especially picky ones) to lick clean their lunch boxes which are packed with a balanced portion of veg, meat and other necessities. How? With ART!

Creative bento (lunch-box) competitions are held often throughout Japan and the craze is still on-going with more companies producing specially designed lunch-boxes and food decorations!

Here's some of the many creative bentos i've found over the net:

(Pokemon...maybe)

(I'm pretty sure this is Studio Ghibli related)

(i dunno the name...but I have this character on my bedroom slippers!)

(zomg...Windows?!)

Diablo III Update: Wizard Class

Lo, and behold! Blizzard has announced yet again another new class to add to the collection. The wizard class...

"Recently the youth of Caldeum have fallen prey to the overblown stories of just such a delinquent wizard. "

"That is correct: I used the uncouth term wizard, not sorcerer. It seems that even the title of a civilized magic wielder is too restrictive for this young upstart."

"Through my contacts at the Yshari Sanctum of the mage clans, I am one of the few who actually know the truth behind the rumors now sweeping our streets regarding this hellion who flaunts her magic irresponsibly.
"

----------------------------------------------
CONCEPT ART

---------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
SKILLS
-------------------------------------

The first of the wizard's spells shown was one that Dungeon & Dragons acolytes will know well: the magic missile. Functionally, it acts similarly to the firebolt in Diablo II. However, Cheng noted that giving players a raw-power spell as their first introduction to the wizard sets the tone of universal power. The technical designer then explained electrocute, which is an elemental spell in the vein of chain lightning.

Next up was slow time, which Cheng said would be a component of the reality-control kit. Slow time presented numerous challenges to Diablo III's design, he said, noting that it could really wreck multiplayer matches. The solution, then, became to implement the spell as a bubble effect emanating outward from the wizard.

Cheng then introduced the disintegrate spell, which he described as "a real face-melter." Again a callback to pen-and-paper forerunners, the disintegrate spell was actually a failed experiment with the barbarian class. It uses a charge mechanic in which players hold down a button and then sweep their mouse across the screen to aim the ray of power. The longer an enemy is targeted by the spell, he said, the more damage it will do. - BLIZZCON 2008

Selected Poems 2: The Second Coming

by William Butler Yeats (W. B. Yeats)

~~~~~~~~~~~2nd Verse~~~~~~~~~~~
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight...
Somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The Darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
Lee Hom singing for FFVIII? (Liu Lei Shou Xin)
Wonder if anyone noticed...
Was really obvious when i saw the MV for the 1st time(5 years back i think).
This is too much...Imitating Squall and Laguna is still within acceptable range (since he's a narcissist anyway and Nicholas Tse did the same thing)...BUT imitating RINOA?!?!
MAXIMUM GAYNESS, DUDE...
If he didn't have such good songs, i would have joined the Anti-Lee Hom faction right there and then.
Seriously, if anyone can find the copyright documents or anything legal stating that he can just rip the idea off Squaresoft (now SquareEnix)...pls send it to me.
And if putting nano-seconds of words like "Squaresoft Final Fantasy" could save his ass from getting sued....then plagarism should not be seen as a crime in universities and pirated stuff is legal. -high sarcasm-
Song collection 12: Avril Lavigne - Innocence
I know i'm outdated in terms of current hits. Frankly, I don't really care who gets the no.1 spot in the weekly chart. All i know is, if it suits my mood at the moment and the lyrics are sensible enough...that song will get a place in my blog.
I don't need to blog about my life. Pictures, songs and movie clips describe it perfectly.
Now, shall we?
=================================================
Lyrics
=================================================
Waking up I see that everything is ok
The first time in my life and now it's so great
Slowing down I look around and I am so amazed
I think about the little things that make life great
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
[Chorus]
This innocence is brilliant
I hope that it will stay
This moment is perfect
Please don't go away
I need you now
And I'll hold on to it
Don't you let it pass you by
I found a place so safe, not a single tear
The first time in my life and now it's so clear
Feel calm, I belong, I'm so happy here
It's so strong and now I let myself be sincere
I wouldn't change a thing about it
This is the best feeling
[Chorus]
It's a state of bliss, you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry
It's a state of bliss, you think you're dreaming
It's the happiness inside that you're feeling
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry
It's so beautiful it makes you wanna cry
This innocence is brilliant, It Makes you want to cry
This innocence is brilliance Please don't go away
Cause I need you now
And I'll hold on to it, Don't you let it pass you by
[Chorus]
I believe...
I believe things happen for a reason...
I believe that no one can be perfect...
I believe there's always room for improvement...
I believe in second chances...
I believe life unfolds as a sinusoid, after happiness comes despair...
I believe that in every stage of my life, some random person is placed there to guide me...
I believe parents are the first people you turn to in times of trouble...
I believe money makes the world go round...
I believe there's somebody for someone...
I believe in karma....
I believe in fate...
I believe in true love...
And today, I finally believe in miracles...
"To everything there is a season...
and a time to every purpose under the heaven..."
The beginning of a dream within reality...It all started exactly a month ago from today...
It began when the ordinary me...took a chance...a step forward.
And from that day, little by little...
I began to change.
That me from so long ago...now sleeps within.
May she never need to be awaken.
Sweet dreams,
In this Life...
Most of you have probably read this from somewhere...but i think it's too sweet to be passed off as just an ordinary email attachment...so here goes:
When You Divorce Me, Carry Me Out in Your Arms
On my wedding day, I carried my wife in my arms. The bridal car stopped in front of our one-room flat. My buddies insisted that I carry her out of the car in my arms. So I carried her into our home. She was then plump and shy. I was a strong and happy bridegroom.
This was the scene ten years ago.
The following days were as simple as a cup of pure water: we had a kid; I went into business and tried to make more money. When the assets were steadily increasing, the affection between us seemed to ebb. She was a civil servant. Every morning we left home together and got home almost at the same time. Our kid was studying in a boarding school.
Our marriage life seemed to be enviably happy. But the calm life was more likely to be affected by unpredictable changes.
Dew came into my life.
It was a sunny day. I stood on a spacious balcony. Dew hugged me from behind. My heart once again was immersed in her stream of love. This was the apartment I bought for her.
Dew said, you are the kind of man who best draws girls' eyeballs. Her words suddenly reminded me of my wife. When we were just married, my wife said, Men like you, once successful, will be very attractive to girls.
Thinking of this, I became somewhat hesitant. I knew I had betrayed my wife. But I couldn't help doing so.
I moved Dew's hands aside and said you go to select some furniture, O.K.? I've got something to do in the company. Obviously she was unhappy, because I had promised to do it together with her. At the moment, the idea of divorce became clearer in my mind although it used to be something impossible to me.
However, I found it rather difficult to tell my wife about it. No matter how mildly I mentioned it to her, she would be deeply hurt.
Honestly, she was a good wife. Every evening she was busy preparing dinner. I was sitting in front of the TV. The dinner was ready soon. Then we watched TV together. Or, I was lounging before the computer, visualizing Dew's body. This was the means of my entertainment.
One day I said to her in a slightly joking way, suppose we divorce, what will you do? She stared at me for a few seconds without a word. Apparently she believed that divorce was something too far away from her. I couldn't imagine how she would react once she got to know I was serious.
When my wife went to my office, Dew had just stepped out. Almost all the staff looked at my wife with a sympathetic eye and tried to hide something while talking to her. She seemed to have got some hint. She gently smiled at my subordinates. But I read some hurt in her eyes.
Once again, Dew said to me, He Ning, divorce her, O.K.? Then we live together. I nodded. I knew I could not hesitate any more.
When my wife served the last dish, I held her hand. I've got something to tell you, I said. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the serious topic calmly.
She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I'm serious. I avoided her question. This so-called answer made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man!
That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer, because my heart had gone to Dew.
With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. I felt a pain in my heart. The woman who had been living ten years with me would become a stranger one day. But I could not take back what I had said.
Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer.
Late that night, I came back home after entertaining my clients. I saw her writing something at the table. I fall asleep fast. When I woke up, I found she was still there. I turned over and was asleep again.
She brought up her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but I was supposed to give her one month s time before divorce, and in the month's time we must live as normal a life as possible. Her reason was simple: our son would finish his summer vacation a month later and she didn't want him to see our marriage was broken.
She passed me the agreement she drafted, and then asked me, He Ning, do you still remember how I entered our bridal room on the wedding day? This question suddenly brought back all those wonderful memories to me. I nodded and said, I remember. You carried me in your arms, she continued, so, I have a requirement, that is, you carry me out in your arms on the day when we divorce. From now to the end of this month, you must carry me out from the bedroom to the door every morning.
I accepted with a smile. I knew she missed those sweet days and wished to end her marriage romantically.
I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she does, she has to face the result of divorce, she said scornfully. Her words more or less made me feel uncomfortable.
My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. We even treated each other as a stranger. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly, Let us start from today, don't tell our son. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for a bus, I drove to the office.
On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. We were so close that I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this intimate woman carefully for a long time. I found she was not young any more. There were some fine wrinkles on her face.
On the third day, she whispered to me, the outside garden is being demolished. Be careful when you pass there.
On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I seemed to feel that we were still an intimate couple and I was holding my sweetheart in my arms. The visualization of Dew became vague.
On the fifth and sixth day, she kept reminding me something, such as, where she put the ironed shirts, I should be careful while cooking, etc. I nodded. The sense of intimacy was even stronger. I didn't tell Dew about this.
I felt it was easier to carry her. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger. I said to her, It seems not difficult to carry you now. She was picking her dresses. I was waiting to carry her out. She tried quite a few but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I smiled. But I suddenly realized that it was because she was thinner that I could carry her more easily, not because I was stronger. I knew she had buried all the bitterness in her heart. Again, I felt a sense of pain. Subconsciously I reached out a hand to touch her head.
Our son came in at the moment. Dad, it's time to carry mum out. He said. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had been an essential part of his life. She gestured our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face because I was afraid I would change my mind at the last minute. I held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly, as if we came back to our wedding day. But her much lighter weight made me sad.
On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. She said, actually I hope you will hold me in your arms until we are old.
I held her tightly and said, both you and I didn't notice that our life lacked intimacy.
I jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my decision. I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door. I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I won't divorce. I'm serious.
She looked at me, astonished. The she touched my forehead. You got no fever. She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I can only say sorry to you, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of life, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I understand that since I carried her into the home, she gave birth to our child, I am supposed to hold her until I am old. So I have to say sorry to you.
Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove to the office.
When I passed the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet for my wife which was her favorite. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote,
"I'll carry you out every morning until we are old."
Email attachment: Family
An old email i happened to stumble upon...
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said good-bye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
Lyrics
=============================================
哪里有彩虹告诉我
Na li you cai hong gao su wo
Tell me where the rainbow is
能不能把我的愿望还给我
Neng bu neng ba wo de yuan wang huan gei wo
Could you still give me back my wish
为什么天这么安静
Wei shen me tian zhe me an jing
Why is the sky so silent?
所有的云都跑到我这里
Suo you de yun dou pao dao wo zhe li
All of the clouds are running to me
有没有口罩一个给我
You mei you kou zhao yi ge gei wo
Is there a mask for me?
释怀说了太多就成真不了
Shi huai shuo le tai duo jiu cheng zhen bu liao
Recalling too much of the past words can accomplish nothing
也许时间是一种解药
Ye xu shi jian shi yi zhong jie yao
Perhaps time is a kind of antidote
也是我现在正服下的毒药
Ye shi wo xian zai zheng fu xia de du yao
and also the first poison I’m taking now
看不见你的笑 我怎么睡得着
Kan bu jian ni de xiao wo zen me shui de zhao
I could not see your smile, how can I sleep well
你的身影这么近我却抱不到
Ni de shen ying zhe me jing wo que bao bu dao
Your silhouette is so close to me, yet I cannot embrace it
没有地球太阳还是会绕
Mei you di qiu tai yang hai shi hui rao
Without earth, the sun can still circle around
没有理由我也能自己走
Mei you li you wo ye neng zi ji zou
Without reasons, I also can walk alone
你要离开 我知道很简单
Ni yao li kai wo zhi dao hen jian dan
You want to go away, I know that is very easy
你说依赖 是我们的阻碍
Ni shuo yi lai shi wo men de zu ai
You said dependence is our obstacle
就算放开 但能不能别没收我的爱
Jiu suan fang kai dan neng bu neng bie mo shou wo de ai
Even if we break up, but couldn’t you not receive my love
当作我最后才明白
Dang zuo wo zui hou cai ming bai
Assuming I’m the last to understand
randomness...
I have an ability...
A passive skill many would love to have...
I don't know what to do with it.
It has taken,
too many good people.
It's time to stop.
Birth Flowers
CARNATION JANUARY: CARNATION
Representing pride, beauty, admiration and gratitude, the carnation’s multilayered, feathery soft petals conceal a hardy core – an appropriate paradox for this first-month-of-the-year flower. Originally from Asia, where they’ve been cultivated for the last 2,000 years, today this winter birth flower is a richly colorful and fragrant gem.
IRIS FEBRUARY: IRIS
It should come as no surprise that the iris's three upright petals symbolize faith, valor and wisdom. With its majestic purple hues and soaring slender stem, this dignified and graceful February birth flower dates back to Ancient Greece, when Iris, the messenger of the gods and the personification of the rainbow (the Greek word for Iris), acted as the link between heaven and earth.
DAFFODIL MARCH: DAFFODIL
When the bright yellow daffodil pokes through late winter's ground, it's like a long-awaited friend returning home – a birth flower anyone would be proud to call their own. Symbolizing rebirth and new beginnings, particularly when presented in an abundant bouquet, daffodils promise happiness and joy.
DAISY APRIL: DAISY
Legend has it that the daisy originated from a nymph who transformed herself into a charming but unassuming wildflower to escape unwanted attention. Epitomizing childlike joy and playfulness, this April birth flower captures the essence of spring’s happy-go-lucky, forever-young attitude.
LILY MAY: LILY
Lilies were so revered by the ancient Greeks that they believed they sprouted from the milk of Hera, the queen of the gods. Long tied to the Virgin Mary, the white Madonna lily represents virtue, while the lily of the valley conveys sweetness and humility. In the language of flowers, this May birth flower expresses purity of heart, majesty and honor.
ROSE JUNE: ROSE
Long a symbol of love and passion, the rose is rich with history and meaning. Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, presented a rose to Eros, and Cleopatra lured Mark Antony with a room knee-deep in rose petals. Though each color offers a distinct meaning – and the number of stems offers a singular message – this June birth flower signifies beauty and perfection.
DELPHINIUM JULY: DELPHINIUM
With its lush, dolphin-shaped flowers, the aptly named delphinium – or larkspur – symbolizes an open heart and ardent attachment. Also signifying a feeling of lightness and levity, the gentle hues and refreshing fragrance of this summer birth flower give it a refreshing and distinctive natural beauty.
GLADIOLA AUGUST: GLADIOLA
Gladiola, the August birth flower, represents strength and moral integrity – not surprising when you consider that its name comes from the Latin word for sword, “gladius.” But while its sword-shaped stems may imply Roman gladiators, its romantic flowers are capable of piercing a heart with their beauty – explaining why infatuation is another one of its meanings as well.
ASTER SEPTEMBER: ASTER
With their lush texture, rich hues and wildflower beauty, it's easy to see why asters have had a long association with magical powers. In ancient times, it was believed that when aster leaves burned, their perfume could drive away evil. Today, this autumn birth flower is known as a talisman of love and an enduring symbol of elegance.
MARIGOLD OCTOBER: MARIGOLD
With their rich, autumn-colored hues, marigolds are the quintessential October birth flower. Early Christians called marigolds Mary’s Gold, and placed it by statues of the Virgin Mary. Brilliant and colorful, with a late-harvest warmth and a broad open bloom, marigolds signify affection and grace.
CHRYSANTHEMUM NOVEMBER: CHRYSANTHEMUM
Chrysanthemums, a symbol of the sun, have held many noble positions in ancient cultures. The Japanese consider the orderly unfolding of their petals to represent perfection, and Confucius suggested they be used as an object of meditation. Signifying optimism and happiness, it’s said that a single petal of this November birth flower placed at the bottom of a wine glass will encourage a long and healthy life.
POINSETTIA DECEMBER: POINSETTIA
Also known as the Christmas flower, legend has it that poinsettias began as a humble weed. When a little girl – with no means for a grander gift – placed weeds on a church alter, they turned into brilliant red blooms. Symbolizing good cheer and merriment, this December birth flower is a fitting tribute to December’s joyful celebrations.
